Bookstore ON TARGET Back Issues

On Target billed itself as "a fortnightly or four-weekly review of news highlights, power politics, Commonwealth affairs, background information and news of books." But it was much more than that! Starting in 1970, and ending publication in July 2005, this small circulation publication was a treasure trove of astonishing political and historical facts, extremely detailed research, and a veritable education in "how politics works" in the real world.

Sovereignty has recently acquired a large number of back-issues of this rare journal and is offering them for sale in the following combinations and at very reasonable rates.

As below, we have a selection of Complete Volume Packs available for £15 each. We have a selection of almost complete volumes, which we are calling Pack A, available for £10 each, and we have a selection of assorted and less complete volumes which we are calling Pack B available for £6 each.

Complete Volumes or Pack A's, must be purchased as a set. Single copies can only be selected from those listed under Pack B. Single issues from Pack B's are available for the equivalent of 7 second class stamps each (£2.10 in total at this time). Three or more single issues can be purchased by cheque or Paypal.

If purchasing by Paypal please follow the instructions below and please remember to tell us which "Complete Set", "Pack A" or "Pack B" you want, or which single issues you want from the Pack B's.

The main article in each issue is listed below, and as can be seen, each issue represents a fascinating education in geo-politics and political power. Reading a volume of these magazines is equivalent to a University education in "the ways of the political world". The information in these magazines will have you asking, "Why isn't this amazing information known by everyone?" and it will make you want to ensure that it is!

Explaining the Numbering and Dating
On Target originally came out fortnightly. However, from the 1980s onwards, it often came out monthly. Therefore, most issues are "double issues" (with the occasional issue being a "treble issue") and are numbered and dated in, for example, the following way: "Vol 28, Nos 1 and 2, 4th and 18th July, 1998". That represents one "double issue" copy, of on average of around 32, A5 pages. Each volume runs from No 1 to No 26.

Please note that volumes 15 to 17 are a more basic (typed) design, and usually have fewer pages, than volumes 18 onwards.

Please send cheques/postal orders made payable to Sovereignty at our usual address. Prices below include postage in the UK. For international orders, contact us first for a postage quote:
